Kathryn Mildred Goodwin, 92, of Richmond, formerly of Sedalia, passed away at 4:30 a.m., Saturday, March 29, 2008, at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond.
Mrs. Goodwin was born June 5, 1915, in Dresden, the daughter of Wilhelm Julius and Clara Caroline Krueger Holtzen. She married Marvin E. Goodwin of Sedalia on April 6, 1941; he preceded her in death in May of 1962.
Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, William “Bill” Goodwin and his wife, Carol, of Sedalia, and Lyndon Goodwin and his wife, Sandra, of Richmond; two daughters and sons-in-law, Marva K. Blubaugh and her husband, Steve, of Fredonia, Kan., and Christy Hangley and her husband, John, of Columbia; four grandchildren; one great-grandson; two sister-in-law, Frances Oswald of Sedalia, and Carol Goodwin of Newton, Iowa, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, her sister, Madalyn Holtzen, preceded her in death.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Smithton United Methodist Church in Smithton.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 1 at the Heckart Funeral Home in Sedalia. Graveside services will immediately follow at 11 a.m., April 1, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sedalia.
