Fauntine Ann Gleason, 86, of Excelsior Springs, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2008 at Sunset Lake Convalescent Center in Venice, Fla.
Fauntine was born March 11, 1921 in Grundy County, Mo. An Excelsior Springs resident since 1941, she and her husband Frank owned and operated the Gleason Lumber Company and Frank Gleason Ceramic Molds. She was a lifelong member of the Barbee Memorial Presbyterian Church, serving as a Sunday School teacher, church historian, and editor of the church newsletter. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and a friend to everyone she met.
Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Jim Gleason and his wife, Linda, of Liberty and Terry Gleason and his wife, Sherri, of Flower Mound, Texas; and four grandchildren, Jill and Genna Gleason, of Liberty and Alyssa and Tara Gleason, of Flower Mound, Texas.
Her husband preceded her in death.
Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday, March 6, at Polley Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 7, at the Barbee Memorial Presbyterian Church in Excelsior Springs. Burial will take place at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Excelsior Springs.
