Kit and Brittnie Rennison of Richmond, are proud to announce the birth of their daughter, Emerson Paige born at 11:10 a.m., Friday, March 7, 2008, at St. Luke’s – East in Lee’s Summit. Emerson weighed 5 lbs. 12 oz. and was 18 1/2 inches in length. She is the couple’s first child.
Paternal grandparents are Eugene and Mona Kay Rennison of Braymer. Maternal grandparents are Mike and Cindy Estes of Richmond.
Paternal great-grandparents are Ralph and Wilma Rennison and Lyman and Ramona McBee, all of Braymer. Maternal great-grandparents are the late Wilbur and Lois Estes and Jim and Linda Mulliken, all of Richmond.
Paternal great-great-grandmother is Doris Rennison of Braymer. Maternal great-great grandparents are Elmer and Helen Mullikin of Richmond.
Michelle Pickering and Eric Grote were married Nov. 27, 2007 at Lawson Baptist Church. Kirk Baker performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Brenda Thies of Lawson, and Danny Pickering of Cameron.
The groom is the son of Brett and Patty Cooper of Richmond, and Alan Grote of Lee’s Summit.
Presented in marriage by her father, the bride was led down the aisle to “Canon in D” played on the organ by Christy Baker, and was attended by Monica Catron as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Angie Bestgon, Jody York, Jennifer Stephens and Brooke O’Dell. The maid of honor and bridesmaids wore strapless long gowns with a ruched bust and gathered sash at an empire waist in different colors – champagne, persimmon, apple and latte. The candle lighter was Jacquelyn Heidebrink, sister of the bride. The flower girl, Hannah Default who wore a gown similar to the bridesmaids with straps, dropped ivory rose petals upon the aisle.
The ring bearer was Dylan Thies, brother of the bride. There were two best men, Eric Paden and Elijah Grote, sons of the bride and groom. Groomsmen were Adam Carroll, Ryan Gustafson, Adam Crowley and Brad Street. Ushers were Adam Cooper, brother of the groom and Adam See, friend of the bride.
Church decorations included candelabras and vases decorated with ribbons and fall flowers.
The reception was held at the American Legion Hall in Excelsior Springs and was decorated with fall flowers, and ceramic pumpkin centerpieces with a lighted archway. Assistants were Nancy Gilbert, Cheryl Corbon and Deanna Heselbarth.
The bride is a teacher at Sunrise Elementary in Richmond. The groom is self-employed. The couple resides in Lee’s Summit.
