Clyde “Te” Tesam, 73, of Excelsior Springs, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2008 at Excelsior Springs Medical Center.
Clyde was born Jan. 14, 1935 in Campo, Calif., the son of Marcello and Sadora Brown Tesum. He married Donna Delano, on Feb. 19, 1971 in Winterhaven, Calif., who survives of the home.
Following his 1953 high school graduation, he went to work for the National Forest Service. He then entered the U.S. Marine Corp, serving for 15 years, obtaining the rank of Sergeant. He also worked for DataGraphics and retired in 1978. He and his family moved to Excelsior Springs after his retirement. Clyde was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Other survivors include: one son, Rick Tesum, of Leesville, La.; one daughter, Gina Tesam Reading of Alpine, Calif., and five grandchildren.
His parents, two brothers, two sisters and one granddaughter, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Excelsior Springs. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 1, at the church. Burial, with military honors, will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Polley Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs.
