Emily L. (Reeder) Black, 62, of St. Joseph, passed away Feb. 27, 2008 after a lengthy illness.
Emily was born and raised in Richmond, the daughter of Lester and Helen (Spencer) Reeder. She was a graduate of Richmond High School. She married Robert Black on Feb. 20, 1982 in Richmond. She had previously worked for the Richmond Daily News and most recently co-owned and operated Auntie Emís Kettle Korn in Savannah.
Survivors include: her husband Robert; three step-daughters, Deauna Coleman, of Largo, Fla., Sherri Hull, of Bellevue, Neb. and Valerie Wilson, of Savannah; five grandchildren; one sister, Mary Sue (Billy Ray) Rogers, of Richmond; two nieces and one nephew.
Her parents preceded her in death.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church, in St. Joseph.
Cremation. The family will hold a private memorial service.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel of St. Joseph.
