Donna Josephine Wright, 79, of Lawson, passed away Tuesday Feb. 26, 2008 in Lawson Manor.
Donna was born April 17, 1928 in Chillicothe, the daughter of Vernon and Clara Stanberry Farris. In July 1948 she married Roy Junior Wright; who survives her.
Mrs. Wright was a 1946 graduate of Chillicothe High School. She attended the Helen Templeman Beauty School graduating in 1947 and briefly worked as a hair stylist prior to her marriage. Mr. and Mrs. Wright lived in Chillicothe and moved to Kansas City in 1986. They returned to Chillicothe and in 2000 moved to Lawson to make their home. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and she will be missed.
Other survivors include: two daughters and one son-in-law, Dana Speiser and her husband, Beryl, of Lawson and Jennifer Park, of Chillicothe; one half-sister, Clyda Gumminger; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Her parents, one daughter, Melanie Briggs, and one grandson, Jessie Daringer, preceded her in death.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m., Saturday, March 1 at Polley Funeral Home in Lawson. Graveside services will immediately follow the visitation at 2 p.m. at the Lawson Cemetery.
