Betty Joan Ellison, 74, of Lexington, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2008, at Centerpoint Hospital in Independence.
Betty Joan Kelley was born July 3, 1933 in Westboro, the daughter of Chalmers and Zoolene Macrander Kelley. She married Raymond D. Ellison on July 14, 1951 in Shenandoah, Iowa.
Survivors include: her husband, Raymond, of the home; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Patricia Ann Ellison, of Lexington, Paula Kay Jorgensen and her husband, Jeff, of Blue Springs and Penny Jo Smith and her husband, Chuck, of Lexington; three grandchildren, Chaz Smith and his fiancé, Toni Lipari, Ryan Jorgensen and his fiancé, Josey Harris, and Jared Jorgensen; and one sister, Sharlene Drummond, of Cleremont.
Her parents, and one daughter, Wanda Jean Ellison, one sister, Sharon McEnaney, and one brother, Duane Kelley, preceded her in death.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Trinity United Church of Christ.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, March 2, at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Monday, March 3 at Trinity United Church of Christ in Lexington. Burial will be in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home in Lexington.
