Clyde Roland Rogers, 84, of Wellington, passed away Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008, at Lafayette Regional Health Center in Lexington.
Clyde was born April 5, 1923 in Camden, the son of Clyde F. and Beulah (Yallaly) Rogers. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Clyde married Deloris M. Dick on April 15, 1950. He was an assembly line worker for General Motors for 30 years before retiring. He attended Wellington United Methodist Church.
Survivors include: his wife of 57 years, Deloris Rogers of the home; two daughters and one son-in-law, Devona Feagan and her fiance, Owen Suhr, of Alma and Lana Sanford and her husband, Jerry, of Lee’s Summit; six grandchildren, Aaron and Roger Feagan, Julie Miles and her husband, Jason, Tisha and Lisa Neal, and Jerry Sanford, Jr.; one brother Beuford Rogers of Camden; and many nieces and nephews.
His parents, five brothers and three sisters, preceded him in death.
Mr. Rogers will lie in state from 3 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 27 at Royer Funeral Home in Grain Valley. There will be a private inurnment in South Point Cemetery in Orrick at a later date.
