Clyde H. Bertz, 80, of Lexington, passed away Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008 at Lexington Care Center.
Mr. Bertz was born June 26, 1927 in Lexington, the son of Christian Reinholdt and Carrie Elizabeth Kemple Bertz. He married Betty Jean Hulver March 15, 1959 in Lexington. She preceded him in death on February 23, 1989. He was a farmer all of his life. Clyde was a U.S. Army Veteran.
In addition to his wife, Clyde was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, John, C.R. and William and a sister, Emily Rhodus.
Survivors include: two brothers and one sister-in-law, Lester Bertz and his wife, Shirley, of Lexington and Ralph Bertz; one sister, Elizabeth “Liz” Fenner, of Lexington; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Kansas City Hospice.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Feb. 27 from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home in Lexington. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
