Gerald Wayne “Digger” Boggess, 88, of Eagleville, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2008.
Gerald was born Sept. 3, 1919, near Hardin, the son of Robert and Buelah Boggess. He was a funeral director in Eagleville for 38 years. Gerald was in the Army Air Force and served during World War II.
Survivors include: his wife, Marvelle of the home; one daughter, Dee Boggess; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bob Boggess and wife, Brenda, Hal Boggess and his wife, Terri; stepson, Jim Wilson; granddaughters, Nikki and Bridget Boggess, Gwen Luzader and her husband, Todd; grandsons, Seth Boggess and his wife, Natasha and Tyler Boggess; step-grandchildren, Eddie and Jimmy Wilson, Laurie McComb and her husband, Stace, Amy Berner and her husband, Scott; great-grandchild, Sydney Luzader; step-great-grandchildren, Max McComb, Josh and Sophie Berner; and stepmother, Grace Boggess.
His wife Lavonia, and his parents Bob and Buelah Boggess, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 23 at Roberson Funeral home in Eagleville. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 24, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Ridgeway Cemetery in Ridgeway, with military rites.
