Leonard C. Wampler,72, of Kansas City, Mo., passed away Saturday, Feb. 9, 2008.
Leonard was born June 5, 1935, in Amazonia, the son of Everett and Nancy Wampler. Leonard married Donna Easter in 1953. she passed way in 1997.
Survivors include: two sons and one daughter-in-law, Brad Wampler, of Kansas City and Steve Wampler, and his wife, Paula, of Lincoln; two daughters and one son-in-law, Barb Carter and her husband, Brad, of Excelsior Springs and Nancy Bossert, of Kansas City; one sister, Arletta Stephens, of Kansas City; one brother, Francis Wampler, of St. Joseph; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and many loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.
His parents, Everett and Nancy Wampler, his wife, Donna, one son, Phil Wampler, of Kansas City, two sisters, Bernice Zimbelman, of Texas and Bette Muscavitch, of Colo., and two brothers; Bill Wampler, of Savannah and Gene Wampler, of St. Joseph, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 12, at the Polley Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 13, at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Kansas City, Mo.
Arrangements are under the direction of Polley Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs.
