Nancy L. Shearer, 79, of Polo, passed away Monday, Feb. 4, 2008 at Liberty Hospital.
Nancy was born Dec. 29, 1928 in Excelsior Springs, the daughter of Glen and Opal Ware. She married Bob Shearer Oct. 2, 1946.
Survivors include: her husband Bob, of Polo; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert (Spook) Shearer and his wife, Linda, of Lawson; Brad Shearer and his wife, Ty, of Polo; one daughter and son-in-law, Debbie Glenn and her husband, Rick, of Lawson; two grandchildren, Chad Glenn and his wife, Lisa, of Lawson; and Tiffany Pennington and her husband, Cody, of Kearney; four great-grandchildren, Kayla and Cody Glenn, and Madison and Morgan Pennington; two brothers, Bill Ware of Excelsior Springs, and Gary Ware of Mosby; three sisters, Pat Wartenbee, Glenda Pulse and Judy Swope, all of Excelsior Springs; and many other family and friends.
Her parents, one sister, Jean Beason, and an infant son, preceded her in death.
Remember her as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, in-law and friend of many.
It was Nancy’s request to be cremated and that no public services be held. Burial will take place at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Polley Funeral Home in Lawson.
