Paul Kemper Evans, 87, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2008 in Chatham, N.J.
Paul was born and raised in Camden. He graduated from Camden High School and entered the Marines as a pilot serving in the South Pacific during World War II. Upon returning, he attended college in Fayette and Kansas City, Mo., and became an attorney.
At the time of his retirement, Kemper was Vice-President of Prudential Insurance in Newark, N.J.
Survivors include: his wife, Mary Frances (Johnson) Evans; one daughter and son-in-law, Kaye Crnkovich and her husband, Peter; one son and daughter-in-law, Tim Evans and his wife, Libbie; six grandchildren; and one sister, Freida (Evans) Mead, of Hemet, Calif.
His parents, Paul and Iva Evans, and one son, Christopher, who was killed in a plane crash, preceded him in death.
Cremation. Private services were held.
