Jill R. Thompson, 57, of Lexington, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008 at her home surrounded by her loved ones.
Jill Rae Foster was born March 14, 1950, the daughter of Lloyd and M. Imogene Scherlinger Foster.Jill married Larry Thompson on May 23, 1970 in Lexington.
Survivors include: her husband, Larry, of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Craig Thompson and his wife, Alexa, of Clinton, Chad Thompson and his wife Mandy, and Kristen Bertz and her husband, Travis; and two grandchildren, all of Lexington; her mother, Imogene Foster, of Lexington; two sisters Dixie Hoffman, of Austin Texas, and Betty Beth Clardy, of Leavenworth, Kan.; her mother-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
Her father, Lloyd Foster, one brother, Jimmy Frank Foster, her father-in-law, Ranie Thompson, and one grandson, Shepherd Bertz, preceded her in death.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Jill Thompson Health Care Scholarship and/or CAR-Cancer Assistance Relief project.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Jan. 30, at the Trinity United Church of Christ in Lexington from 5 to 8 pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Jan. 31, at 10 a.m., at the church. Burial will be in Lexington Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home in Lexington.
