Beverly Chamberlain, 75 of Lexington, passed away Friday, Jan. 25, 2008 at Lafayette Regional Health Center.
Beverly was born Aug. 11, 1932 in Lexington, the daughter of Forest and Bessie Sanders Riley. She had worked at Wentworth Military Academy in financial aid, and as a secretary for Butler Manufacturing, Dunbrooke Sportswear and Whitaker Cable. Beverly had worked as the Administrative Secretary at Lexington Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, and was a past member of the Lexington V.F.W. Women’s Auxiliary.
Survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Cindy Cohrs Dickmeyer and her husband, Norman, of Lexington, one grandson, Jason Dickmeyer, of Lexington, and one brother, Forest T. Riley, Jr., of Sunrise Beach.
Her parents, one daughter, Karen Sue Chamberlain, three brothers, Thomas, Patrick and Robert Riley, and two sisters, Mary Garnet Niemeier, Phylisee Cretzmeyer, and a niece, Mary Anne Cretzmeyer-Scott, preceded her in death.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, The Lafayette County War Memorial or the Margaret Grey Senior Center in Lexington.
Visitation was held Sunday, Jan. 27 from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home in Lexington. Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 28, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial was in Greenton Cemetery in Odessa.
Arrangements were under the direction of Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home in Lexington.
