Mildred L. “Millie” Burgdorf, 81, of Kansas City, Mo., died at 9:26 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008, at the Golden Living Center in Smithville.
Mrs. Burgdorf was born Feb. 4, 1926, in Granite City, Ill., the daughter of Lester Fairman and Titania Marie (Ruebel) Vance. She married Alvin G. Burgdorf of Ill., in Aug. of 1982; he preceded her in death.
Mrs. Burgdorf was a secretary for the City of Maplewood, for several years, before retiring in 1982. She was of the Baptist faith. She had lived in Crestwood, and Maplewood, before moving to Kansas City in 2002.
Survivors include: one brother and sister-in-law, Roy Charles Vance and his wife, Frances, of Kansas City, Mo., and three nieces.
There will be no visitation. Funeral Services were held Monday, Jan. 28, at 2 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Burial will be in the Memory Gardens Cemetery.
