Carl Junior Jones, 79, of Odessa, passed away Friday, Jan. 25, 2008, at the Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond.
Carl was born April 11, 1928 in Hardin, the son of William Lee Jones and Geneva Comer Jones. Junior married Loretta Sue Cran in 1948 and she preceded him in death in 1971.
Junior owned and managed J&E NAPA Auto Parts in Odessa from 1969 until his retirement. He was a 1946 graduate of Hardin High School.
Survivors include: two sisters and one brother-in-law, Marjorie Meyers and her husband, G.C., of Camden and Margaret Clemens of Hardin; one brother and sister-in-law, William “Bill” Jones and his wife, Mary, of Independence; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, Loretta, his sister, Dorothy L. Sands, preceded him in death.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Odessa Senior Center Building Fund.
The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, at the Ralph O. Jones Chapel in Odessa. Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation on Jan. 29 at 1 p.m. at the Chapel. Burial will be in the Odessa Cemetery in Odessa.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home in Odessa.
