Richard Frank Pigoni, 62, of Excelsior Springs, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008 at his home.
Richard was born April 21, 1945 in Kenosha, Wis., the son of Geno and Elizabeth (Paulmann) Pigoni. Richard served in the U.S. Army during both the Korean and Vietnam wars. On Sept. 17, 1966 he married Ruth (Waldron) Pigoni. He had worked as a Chemical Engineer for Proctor and Gamble. He was a member or the Church of the Nazarene in Excelsior Springs and served on the church board.
Survivors include: his wife Ruth, of the home; two daughters, Suzanne Toms, of Liberty, and Kara Pagoni of the home; one son, Robert Pigoni, of LaMesa, Calif.; two aunts, Norma and Eleanor of Chicago, Ill. and three grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, at the Church of the Nazarene in Excelsior Springs. Funeral Services will be held Friday, Jan. 11, at 1 p.m., at the church. Burial will be in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville.
