Virginia “Kay” Henderson, 93, of Bannon Springs, Calif., died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2007, at her home.
“Kay” was born June 18, 1914 in Hardin, the daughter of Richard and Alice (Wooden) Meador. She married Leslie Henderson of Texas on Oct. 31, 1948; he preceded her in death. “Kay” worked at the Book Store at San Diego State University before retiring in 1972. She had lived in California before moving to Arizona. She was of the Christian faith.
Survivors include: three daughters, Janelle Mosher and Sue Moreland, both of San Diego, Calif., and Donna Carroll of Springerville, Calif.; eleven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great- grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, one son, Bill Tabor, one daughter, Judy Wilson, and her brothers and sisters, preceded her in death.
Graveside services were held Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008, at 2:30 p.m. at the Hardin Cemetery in Hardin.
Arrangements were under the direction of Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond.
