Florence Nadine Paterson, 80, of Excelsior Springs, formerly of Kansas City, Kan., passed away Monday, Dec. 24, 2007 at Liberty Terrace in Liberty.
Mrs. Paterson was born Dec. 22, 1927 in Pleasanton, Kan., the daughter of James Monroe and Tina Alice (Montgomery) Lewis. She married Cecil Howard Paterson, Sr., on Oct. 28, 1949 in Kansas City, Kan. He preceded her in death on May 13, 1999.
Survivors include: two sons and one daughter-in-law, Cecil Paterson, Jr. and his wife, Gayle, of Kansas City, Kan., and David Paterson of Liberty; two daughters and sons-in-law, Janet Grosko and her husband, Larry, of Gladstone, and Julie Nilges and her husband, Wayne, of Lawson; four sisters; three brothers; 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Cecil, her parents, one sister, four brothers and a granddaughter, Katie Nilges, preceded her in death.
The family has suggested memorials be sent to the family, which they will donate to charities of their choice.
Visitation will be held Friday, Dec. 28, 2007 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Polley Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs. Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
