Susan L. Bales, 55, of Richmond, died at 4:16 p.m., on Monday, Dec. 24, 2007, at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond.
Mrs. Bales was born Oct. 27, 1952 in Richmond, the daughter of Albert and Fannie (Brinkley) Black. She married Jerry Mac Bales, of Hardin, on Dec. 18, 1971.
Sue had worked for S & K Industries in Carrollton and Lexington for over twenty years. She was a 1971 graduate of Richmond High School. She was a member of the Hardin Christian Church. Sue lived in Richmond before moving to Hardin in 1971.
Survivors include: her husband, Jerry, of the home; her mother, Fannie Black, of Richmond; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Amy Wheeler and her husband, Darin, of Hardin, and Mindy Green and her husband, Vince, of Richmond; one sister, Janice Haynes, of Richmond; and five grandchildren, Zachary and Taylor Wheeler, Abbi McCumber, and Kendra and Gage Green.
Her father preceded her in death.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Hardin Christian Church.
Visitation will be held Friday, Dec. 28, 2007 from 7 to 8 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007 at 1:30 p.m., at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Hardin Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond.
