Clella Ann “Teddy” Pantleo, 75, of Lawson, passed away Friday, Dec. 21, 2007, at Liberty Hospital.
Mrs. Pantleo was born Feb. 28, 1932 in Kansas City, the daughter of Clell Thomas and Virgil Marie (Wasmer) Rice. On Feb. 5, 1955 in Kansas City, she married Phil Pantleo, Jr.
Teddy was raised in Kansas City and was a 1950 graduate of Paseo High School. Prior to her marriage, she was employed by First National Bank for several years. Following their marriage, Teddy and Phil moved to a farm at Trenton, where they lived three years before returning to Kansas City. In 1961 they moved to Lawson where they were engaged in farming and she also was a homemaker. Teddy was involved in many community groups and activities in the past and was active in the Divine Stitchers and friends card club and a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church. Her interests included quilting, sewing, gardening, camping, traveling, fishing and cooking and most of all spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband of nearly 53 years, Phil; four children, LeeAnn Raulie and her husband, Larry of Hastings, Neb., David Pantleo and his wife, Brenda, of Springfield, Russell Pantleo and Wayne Foster of Washington, D.C. and Michael Pantleo and his wife, Jennifer, of Lawson; nine grandchildren, Zach, Evan, Rachel, Josh, Justin, Danielle, Phillip, Andrea and Eric; two great-grandchildren, Bailey and Leighton; one sister, Patricia Switzer, of Sunnyvale, Calif., and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her parents preceded her in death.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Benedictine Sisters of the Queen of Angels Monastery, 23615 NE 100th Street, Liberty, Mo. 64068.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2007 after 2 p.m. at the Polley Funeral Home in Lawson, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. A rosary service will be held at 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, Dec. 27, 2007, at 10 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church in Excelsior Springs. Burial will be in the Lawson Cemetery.
