Lena V. Caldwell, 84, of Braymer, passed away Friday, Dec. 14, 2007 in Braymer.
Lena was born April 28, 1923 in Kingston, the daughter of George and Gertrude (Buck) Bratcher. She married Leslie Caldwell July 31, 1939, in Kingston. Lena was a member of the Braymer Baptist Church and Braymer Senior Citizens (WMU).
Survivors include: three sons and two daughters-in-law, Charles (Bud) Caldwell and his wife, Erma, of Richmond, Robert Caldwell and his wife, Bertha, of Savannah, and Larry Dean Caldwell, of Junction City, Kan.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna Garst and her husband, Sherman, of Ludlow, and Carol Guthals and her husband, Mike, of Forest City; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Elbert Bratcher and his wife, Vionne, of Kansas City, Mo., and Paul Bratcher and his wife, Gloria, of Virginia Beach, Va., two sisters and one brother-in-law, Ruth Hargrave, of Liberty, and Ruby Bright and her husband, Vic, of Chillihwee; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Her parents, her husband, Leslie, an infant daughter, Doris Jean, two sisters, Pearl Ford and Betty Burdick, and four brothers, Vern, Robert, Merle, and Teddy Caldwell, preceded in her in death.
Memorial contributions may be made to Evergreen Cemetery and may be left or mailed to the Lindley Funeral Home in Braymer.
Lena will lie in state from 12 to 9 p.m., Monday, Dec. 17, 2007 at the Lindley Funeral Home in Braymer. There is no scheduled family visitation. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2007 at 1:30 p.m., at the Braymer Baptist Church in Braymer.
