Melvin Schroeder, 69, of Lexington, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2007 at his home.
Mr. Schroeder was born Dec. 28, 1937, in Lafayette County, the son of Harry J. and Nancy Shutt Schroeder. He married Norma Hill in 1976.
Survivors include: Cindy Quaintance, of Kansas City, Mo., Mel Schroeder, of East Lynne, Alan Hill, of Kansas City, Mo., and Scott Hill, of Sabetha, Kan.; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Reinhardt Schroeder and his wife, Carole, of Lexington and Cleon “Red” Schroeder, of Odessa; one sister and brother-in-law, Nancy Legate and her husband, Walter, of Lexington; his companion, Dorothy Lynn, of Lexington; and 10 grandchildren.
His wife and his parents, preceded him in death.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cross-Roads Hospice, 9237 Ward Parkway, Ste 300, Kansas City, MO 64114.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m., Monday, Dec. 17, 2007 at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home in Lexington.
