Donald E. Cochran, 59, of “Pa and Shorty’s Animal Farm” in Richmond, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2007, at his home.
Donald was born on Sept. 12, 1948 in Orrick, the son of James Curtis and Bessie Elizabeth (Covey) Cochran. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He worked as an over-the-road truck driver for several years. He and his wife Karen were married on May 24, 2002 in Richmond.
He enjoyed his animal farm, camping, fishing, and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren especially pulling them around in the pasture.
Survivors include: his wife Karen, of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tracy Jones and her husband Robbie, of Osceola, and Donna Clark and her husband, Chuck, of Excelsior Springs; one step-son, Buddy Johnson of Kansas City, Mo.; three sisters and two brother-in-law, Judy Woods and her husband, Bob, of Henrietta, Penny Winfrey and her husband, Stanley, of Osceola, and Debbie Walker, of Oklahoma City, Okla.; one brother, Tim Coleman, of Richmond; six grandchildren, Ashley Clark, Jeff Cochran, Tabitha Jones, Robbie Jones, Abby Johnson, and Ashley Johnson; and one great-granddaughter, Joslyn Jerome.
The Family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14, 2007 at the Polley Funeral Home in Richmond. Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, funeral home. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Bear Creek Cemetery in Osceola.
Arrangements are under the direction of Polley Funeral Home in Richmond.
