Gladys M. (Terry) Moore, 81, of Excelsior Springs, passed away Saturday, Nov. 17, 2007, at her home.
Gladys was born Sept. 17, 1926, in Newkirk, Okla., the daughter of Cliff and Emma Terry. She married Charles Richard Moore on June 11, 1954. Gladys was a machine operator at Whitaker Cable before retiring some years later. She was also a member of the Mosby Baptist Church.
Survivors include: her four children and their families: son, Rick Moore; son, Rodney Moore and his wife, Marilyn; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon Long and her husband, Mike, and daughter, Shelley Baker and her husband, Rodney, all of Excelsior Springs.
Her parents, Emma and Cliff Terry; her husband, Charles Moore; two grandsons, Richard Moore and James Derek; four brothers, James, Clarence, Delmar and Junior Terry; two sisters, Fannie Kilgore & Dorothy Wade, preceded her in death.
In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested donations be made to the American Heart Association.
Visitation will be held at the Polley Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2007 from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007, at the funeral home. Gladys will be laid to rest along side her husband in Crown Hill Cemetery in Excelsior Springs.
Arrangements are under the direction of Polley Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs.
