Willa Mae Wood, 74, of Lexington, passed away at 3:43 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 12, 2007, at the Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.
Mrs. Wood was born Dec. 29, 1932 in Pierce, Colo. the daughter of Harry K. and Leona M. (Hall) McNeece. She married Homer J. Wood of Lakewood, Colo. on June 12, 1953. Mrs. Wood was a homemaker. She lived most of her life in Ault, Colo. before moving to Lexington in 2003. She was of the Christian Faith.
Survivors include; two sons and two daughters-in-law, Kenneth Wood and his wife, Belva, of Lexington, Howard Wood and his wife, Sandy, of Ault, Colo.; one step-son, Wayne Wood and his wife, Susan, of Ault, Colo.; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Ben McNeece of Greeley, Colo., Clyde “Bud” McNeece and his wife, Janet, of Cheyenne, Wyo. and Jackie McNeece and his wife, Gentry, of Pierce, Colo.; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Shirley Miller of Greeley, Colo. and Barbara James and her husband, Eldon, of Cheyenne, Wyo.; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Her husband and her parents preceded her in death.
Cremation with inurnment will be at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond.
