Maxine (Beary) Landis, 93, passed away on Monday, Nov. 11, 2007 at North Kansas City Hospital.
Maxine was born Nov. 21, 1913, one of seven daughters of Reuben (Jack) and Rose Beary. She lived in Richmond until her marriage.
Survivors include: two daughters-in-law, wife of son Robert, Connie Landis, of San Antonio, Texas, and Doris Landis, wife of Denny, of Kansas City, Mo.; three sisters, Ruby White, Roseanna Fearing and Bonnie McCauley. She was the loving grandmother of 11 grandchildren, Cathy Williams, Mark Mesmer, Tom Mesmer, Mary Ringel, David Landis, Doug Landis, Bryan Landis, Jeff Landis, Denise Ketcham and Sharon Landis; 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren and was greatly loved by her many nephews and nieces.
Her parents, her husband, Dennis Charles Landis, daughter, Norene Mesmer, two sons, Robert Landis and Dennis Landis, three sisters, Pauline LaGalle, Juanita Wade and Frances Griffin, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007 at Antioch Community Church, 4805 Northeast Antioch Rd. in Kansas City, Mo., where she was a longtime, faithful member. Services will be held immediately after the visitation at 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
