Bobbie JoAnn Burnett, 57, of Elmira, passed away on Sunday Nov. 4, 2007 at her home.
Bobbie was born on June 8, 1950 in Kansas City, Kan., the daughter of Walter and Mearl Marie (Wright) Schick. She married Donald Dean Burnett on Aug. 7, 1983 in Excelsior Springs. Bobbie was a huge animal lover especially wolves, she enjoyed cooking and loved having her grandchildren around. She was always willing to help anyone who needed a hand.
Survivors include: her husband, Donald, of the home; her mother, Mearl Marie Schick, of Lathrop; two daughters, Janice Marie Burnett of Los Angeles, Calif. and Christal Scobee, of Polo; one son and daughter-in-law, Donald Burnett II and his wife, Angie, of Lawson; one brother, Bill Schick, of Lathrop; two sisters, Jearldine Rogers, of Gower, and Sheri Rick of Plattsburg; four grandchildren and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her father preceded her in death.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, Diabetes Association or the Humane Society in care of Polley Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2007 at the Polley Funeral Home in Lawson. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2007. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Elmira Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Polley Funeral Home in Lawson.
