Harvey Lee Dildine, 77, of Excelsior Springs, passed away Friday Oct. 26, 2007 at North Kansas City Hospital.
He was born Sept. 23, 1930 in Siloam Springs in Benton County, the son of Joseph L. and Mary N. (Griffin) Dildine. On Feb. 14, 1981 he married Carol Ann Dalberg in Liberty.
Mr. Dildine was a Veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Navy from 1951 to 1954. He worked as a truck driver for Allied Systems before his retirement in 1994 after 30 years of employment. Harvey had served as an Alderman of Homestead Village and street superintendent.
Survivors include: his wife, Carol, of the home; six children, Donald Dildine of Yuma, Ariz., Barbara Jones of Lone Pine, Calif., Cynthia Spade of Yuma, Ariz., Ronald Dildine of Mesa, Ariz., Harla Wardles of Fayetteville, Ark. and Kimberly Bowen of Omaha, Neb.; four step-children, Jolynn Garcia, Michael Brown, Christine Niccoli and Sam Skidmore; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law and many friends.
In lieu of flowers the family has suggested memorials to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or to the First United Methodist Church of Excelsior Springs.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2007 at 7 p.m. in the First United Methodist Church of Excelsior Springs with military rites. Cremation.
