Donald L. (Don) Oetting, 56, of Concordia, passed away Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007, at his home.
Donald was born March 20, 1951, in Waverly, the son of the late Erich Oetting and Norma Peters Oetting, of Concordia. On Nov. 12, 1977, he married Donna Stuut. He had lived in rural Concordia most of his life and was a farmer. He was a 1969 graduate of Concordia High School and a 1977 graduate of the University of Mo-Columbia. He received a Masters degree in Agriculture Economics in 1979. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and had served in the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include: his wife, Donna, of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Derrick W. Oetting and his wife, Becky, of St. Charles; one daughter, Dara Oetting, of the home; three sisters, Janice Renno of Concordia, Dorothy Kindle of Blue Springs, and Lynette Burton of Carrollton; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, 2007, at the Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Concordia. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 29, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Concordia, with Rev. Andrew Kennell officiating. Burial with military rites will be held at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville with Rev. Patricia Longstroth officiating.
