Cyndia Elaine Downs, 55, of rural Richmond, passed away Thursday, Oct. 18, 2007, in her home and has gone to loving arms that will hold her close and love her.
She was born June 5, 1952 in rural Orrick, the daughter of George and Bessie E. (Covey) Coleman. Cyndia was a lifetime factory worker, a most beloved sister and was always lending a hand to help. She had a great love for her nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and everyone she touched. She enjoyed reading, watching game shows and playing marbles and cards. She especially loved spending time with her family including two very special nieces, Jessica and Jennifer Coleman. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include: one sister, Judy Woods of Henrietta; three brothers, Donald Cochran and Tim Coleman, both of Richmond, and James Coleman, of Warsaw; and several nieces and nephews.
Her mother preceded her in death.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Visitation will be held Sunday, Oct. 21, 2007, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Polley Funeral Home in Richmond, with the family receiving friends at that time. Funeral services wwill be held Monday, Oct. 22, 2007 at 10 a.m. in the chapel of the Polley Funeral Home. The Rev. Mike Polo officiated. Graveside services and burial will be held at 1:30 p.m. at the Macedonia Cemetery in Osceola.
Arrangements are under the direction of Polley Funeral Home in Richmond.
