John A. Delana, 68, of Waverly, formerly of Wellington, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007 at Lafayette Regional Health Center in Lexington.
John was born Aug. 19, 1939 in Dover, the son of John E. and Dolly I. Hostetter Delana. He worked at Fisher Body Auto Plant, in Kansas City on the assembly line. He served in the Missouri National Guard and was a Baptist.
Survivors include: his mother, Dolly Delana, of Wellington; one daughter and son-in-law, Kim Hoskins, and her husband, David, of Greenwood, Ark.; two grandchildren; five brothers and three sisters-in-law, Ronald W. Delana and his wife, Joy, of Chilhowee, Tex C. Delana and his wife, Janet, of Wellington, Anthony E. Delana and his wife, Paula, of Las Vegas, Nev., Thomas E. Delana, of New Madrid, and Jerry M. Delana, of Wellington; one sister and brother-in-law, Judy McDowell and her husband, Jim, of Lexington.
His father, a son, Kirk Delana, and three sisters, Glenda Cooper, Annette Delana and Dolly Ann Delana, preceded him in death.
Memorials may be made to the Waverly Baptist Church.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007 at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home in Lexington. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Dover Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home in Lexington.
