Marjorie Colleen Worth, 86, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007, at North Kansas City Hospital.
She was born April 26, 1921 in Grundy County, near Galt, the daughter of Raymond and Delilah (Gladwell) Johnson. She married Glen Worth in 1943 and lived on a farm in Tina, for 38 years. She spent the remainder of her life in Excelsior Springs, where she was a member of the First Baptist Church. She also enjoyed doing embroidery and quilting.
Survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Mary Jones and her husband, Terry of Excelsior Springs; two brothers, Kenny Johnson of Franklin, Tenn., and Jim Johnson of Chico, Calif.; two step-sons, Buddy Worth of Dawn, and Denny Worth of Deepwater; four grandchildren, Teresa Berry, Janet Endsley and Robert Jones, of Excelsior Springs, and Steven Jones of Lawson; eight great-grandchildren, Steven Endsley, Daniel Endsley, Grant Berry, Nicholas Berry, Brooke Jones and Molly Jones of Excelsior Springs, and Jeremy Endsley of Fort Riley, Kan., who is serving in Iraq and will be an honorary pallbearer; four great-great-grandchildren, Cady and Dana Endsley of Excelsior Springs, and Landon and Avery Endsley of Fort Riley, Kan. Additional family members include: Misty Jones and Kim Endsley of Excelsior Springs, and Harmony Endsley of Fort Riley, Kan.
Her parents, a son, Raymond Tipton of Calif., five sisters and six brothers, preceded her in death.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Berry Cemetery near Osgood.
Visitation will be held after 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2007, at Polley Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 to 7 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2007, at the Berry Cemetery on State Highway BB near Osgood, with interment following.
