Paul Clark Conaway, 68, of Richmond, passed away at 3:10 p.m., Monday, Sept. 14, 2007, at his home.
Mr. Conaway was born Jan. 3, 1939 in Columbus, Ga. to Carl and Estelle (Busby) Conaway. He married Virginia Lee “Ginger” McEntire of Richmond, on Aug. 12, 1965. He later married Barbara Martin of Greensburg, Kan. on April 17, 2005.
Mr. Conaway was a retired truck driver. He lived in Grain Valley before moving to the Richmond area in 1987. He was a member of the Hickory Grove Baptist Church and Richmond American Legion Post #237. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include: his wife, Barbara, of the home; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Kenneth C. Conway and his wife, Kim of South Casco, Mass., and Clark Edward Conaway of Wichita, Kan.; one daughter and son-in-law, Melissa M. Hahn and her husband, Brion, of Norborne; eleven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
His parents and his first wife, Virginia, preceded him in death.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Paul Clark Conaway Memorial Fund.
Visitation will be Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007 from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Hickory Grove Baptist Church. Memorial services will be Friday, Sept. 28, 2007 at 10 a.m. at, the church. Inurnment will be at Hickory Grove Cemetery where the B Battery 1-161 FA Kansas Army National Guard will conduct Military Graveside Services.
Arrangements are under the direction of Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond.
