Marvin Edwin Miller, 89, of Carrollton, passed away Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007, at the Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Marvin was born April 27, 1918 in Trotter Township in Carroll County, the son of Claud and Lillie Troutman Miller. He attended Bingham School and farmed his entire life on the family farm in Trotter Township.
On March 11, 1962 Marvin married Ida Joan Minnick in Hardin. Marvin was a member of the McCroskie Creek Baptist Church, the Trotter Township Board, and a long time member of the Wakanda Lodge # 52 AF & AM and the Philadelphia Lodge # 887 I.O.O.F. of Carrollton.
Survivors include: his wife, Joan, of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Claud Miller and his wife, Kathy, of Norborne; one daughter and son-in-law, Jane Olvera and her husband, Gary, of Carrollton; four sisters-in-law, Frances Miller, of Hale, Ruth Miller, of Norborne, Irene Miller, of Carrollton, and Lucille Miller, of Tina; nine grandchildren, Carson, Hannah, Bethany and Wesley Miller, and Klarissa, Jeremy, Lindsy, Matthew and Edwin Olvera; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
His parents, one sister, Mildred Kruse, and four brothers, Klank Miller, Carl Miller, Orville Miller, and Harry Miller, preceded him in death.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2007, at the Gibson Funeral Home in Carrollton. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007, at the funeral home, with Pastor Jim Hodges and Pastor Martin Brooke officiating.
