Bill J. Stopp, 55, of Belton, passed away Monday Sept. 10, 2007 at the St. Joseph Medical Center.
Bill was born on July 7, 1952 in Tahleguah, Okla., the son of Sunday and Pauline (Treasure) Stopp. He married Shannon Stark on April 5, 2002. He served in the US Navy during Vietnam. He worked for the Veterans Administration as an administrator for 30 years before his retirement.
Survivors include: his wife, Shannon Stopp, of the home; six children and their spouses, Scott Price and his wife Kristen, Brandi Davis and her husband Chris, and Tiffany Stopp and Joe, all of Muskogee, Okla., Michael Stark, Arianna Stark and Hunter, all of the home in Belton; six grandchildren; four brothers, Harold Stopp of Wichita, Kan., Kenneth Stopp, Aaron Stopp, both of Okla., and Preston Tone-pah-hote, of Orrick; two sisters, Cheryl Clark, and Karen Casteel, of Okla.
Memorial Services will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday Sept. 14, 2007 at the Ceremonial Campus on the Indian Ministry campus in Grain Valley.
