Gerald E. “Gabby” Sebastian, 74, of Carrollton, passed away at 1:29 a.m., Monday, Sept. 10, 2007, at the Harry S. Truman V.A. Medical Center in Columbia.
Gerald was born Aug. 3, 1933, near Stet, to Otto Paul and Ruth Maurine (Miller) Sebastian. He married Lou Ann Agee of Mandeville, on July 14, 1956. Gerald was a farmer and truck driver. He was a member of the McCroskie Creek Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include: his wife, Lou Ann, of the home; one son, Ronald W. Sebastian of Carrollton; one daughter and son-in-law, Laressa L. and her husband, Ron Rehagen of New Bloomfield; one sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and her husband, Van Davis of Sedalia; one step-sister, Dorothy Jean Knott of Carrollton; four grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and one step-great-granddaughter.
His parents, one sister, Shirley Wood, his stepfather, Robert Warren, and stepbrother, Bobby Warren, preceded him in death.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to H.E.L.P. Services Cancer Fund in Carrollton or to the McCroskie Creek Baptist Church Memorial Fund.
Military graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Thursday, Sept. 13, at Fairhaven Cemetery in Norborne.
Arrangements are under the direction of Thurman Funeral Home.
