Ashley Nicole Reardon, 20, of Excelsior Springs, passed away Friday, Sept.7, 2007 at Children’s Mercy Hospital.
Ashley fought a life long battle with Cystic Fibrosis. She was a member of Independence Christian Center youth ministry, and was able to do her first missions trip this year. She wanted everyone to celebrate her new life with God.
Survivors include: fiancé Jack H. Matney, II of Lathrop; her parents, John and Lisa Reardon of the home; one sister, Jessica Reardon of the home; grandmother, Faye Reardon of Kansas City, Kan.; several aunts and uncles and one first cousin.
Her grandfather, Daniel Reardon, great-grandparents, Patrick and Louise Reardon of Kansas City, Kan., Frank and Ella Schwarz of Lawson, preceded her in death.
In lieu of flowers family suggests contributions be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or the American Diabetes Association.
Friends and family may visit Friday, Sept.14, 2007 at the First United Methodist Church in Excelsior Springs, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Funeral services are to follow the visitation at 1 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery.
