Paul E. Alexander, 92, of Richmond, died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2007, at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond.
Mr. Alexander was born Feb. 19, 1915, near Knoxville, to Joseph Ellis and Mary Ella (Sanderson) Alexander. He married Ruby Irene Wrisinger of Millville, on Nov. 12, 1938.
Mr. Alexander was a machine operator for the Missouri State Highway Department for 30 plus years before retiring. He was also a farmer. He was a lifelong resident of Ray County. He was a member of the Knoxville Community Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Ruby of the home; several nieces and nephews; their three caregivers for the past 20 years, Bernita Carter, Farrell Wrisinger and Larry Wrisinger.
His parents, two brothers, Ralph Alexander and Robert Glenn Alexander, and one sister, Dorothy Renfro, preceded him in death.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Knoxville Community Church.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Sept. 10, at 1 p.m., at the Knoxville Community Church. Visitation will be Sunday, Sept. 9, from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Burial will be at Richmond Memory Gardens.
