Helen Dean Hogan, 92, of Norborne, passed away at 6:15 a.m., Monday, Sept. 3, 2007, at the Carroll House in Carrollton.
Helen was born Jan. 26, 1915 near Bogard, to John Frederick and Roxie Lena (Miles) Renzelman. She married Loren Glen Hogan of Norborne on Dec. 24, 1938.
Helen spent her entire life in Carroll County. She taught Sunday school for 40 years, and on her 90th birthday received cards from many former pupils. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
Survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Doris Marilyn and her husband, Troy Mayfield of Kearney; a daughter-in-law, Patricia Hogan of Carrollton; four grandchildren and their spouses; and nine great-grandchildren.
Her parents, husband, her beloved son, Loren Wayne Hogan; two brothers, Charles Edwin Renzelman, and Miles Frederick Renzelman; and one sister, Anna Bernice Miller, preceded her in death.
The family suggest memorial contributions be made to the First Baptist Church of Norborne.
There will be no family visitation. The body will lie in state from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Funeral services will be Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Norborne. Burial will be at Fairhaven Cemetery in Norborne.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Thurman Funeral Home.
