Erven T. Travillion, 99, of Richmond, passed away Thursday, Aug. 30, 2007, at Ray County Memorial Hospital in Richmond.
Mr. Travillion was born Sept. 17, 1907 in Millville to William and Emma (Herod) Travillion. He married Juanita A. Nelson of Millville on Dec. 17, 1941. Mr. Travillion was a farmer for 80 years before retiring in 1995. He was a member of the Hickory Grove Baptist Church where he was a Deacon.
Survivors include: his wife, Juanita A. Travillion, of the home; one son and daughter in-law, Roy W. and his wife, Cathy Travillion of Blackshear, Ga.; 9 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 22 great-great-grandchildren.
His parents, one son, Rondall Travillion; one daughter, Lois Malone; three brothers, Henderson Travillion, Robert Travillion and Gaines Travillion; and three sisters, Ella Mae Hess, Dora Phillips and Zella Rowan, preceded him in death.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Hickory Grove Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Monday, Sept. 3, from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, Sept. 4, at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Richmond Memory Gardens.
