Robert V. “Bob” Odell, 86, of Richmond, passed away at 7:55 p.m., Monday, Aug. 27, 2007, at the Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond.
Mr. Odell was born Aug. 23, 1921 in Hardin, to Clyde and Ollie (Leibold) Odell. He married Dora Mae Blair of Richmond on March 4, 1945.
Mr. Odell worked at the Ford Motor Company as a supply depot supervisor for 22 years before retiring in 1985. He was a 1939 graduate of Richmond High School. He lived in Richmond most of his life. He was a member of the Richmond United Christian Presbyterian Church and a 50+ member of the Richmond Masonic Lodge #57 A.F. & A.M.
Survivors include: his wife, Dora, of the home; one sister, Alice Turner of Sugar Creek; and two nieces, Janet Talmadge and her husband, Dick of Naperville, Ill., and Denise Blair of North Olmsted, Ohio.
His parents and three brothers, Raymond Odell, Donald Odell and Wendell Odell, preceded him in death.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the United Christian Presbyterian Church in Richmond.
Visitation will be Thursday, Aug. 30, from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the funeral service at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 30, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Richmond Memory Gardens in Richmond.
