Maudie Mae Wiser, 69, passed away Monday, Aug. 27, 2007 at her home in Orrick, after a long battle with cancer.
She was born Nov. 20, 1937, in Hemple, the daughter of Luther Norman Teeter Sr. and Oda Revene (Watkins) Teeter Magee.
Survivors include: one son and daughter in-law, Leland F. “Taco” Garrison and his wife Tina, of St. Joseph; two grandchildren, Charles Garrison, serving in Iraq, and Amy Luther of Raytown; one great-grandson, Hunter Garrison; two sisters and brothers in-law, Nancy Schoonover and her husband, Lewis of Altamont; Barbara Hoyle and her husband, John of Orrick; one sister-in-law, Barbara Teeter of Stewartsville; four brothers and sisters in-law, Thom Teeter and his wife, Lesley of Kansas City, Mo; Russell Teeter and his wife, Patty of Northport, Ala.; Eric Teeter and his wife, Karen of Kansas City, Mo; Rufus Teeter and his wife, Nancy of Stewartsville; and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends.
Her husband, Lonnie (Ralph) Wiser; parents Luther Norman Teeter, Sr. and Oda Revene (Watkins) Teeter Magee; two sisters, Mary Jane & Dorothy Helen, and one brother Luther (Norman) Teeter, Jr. preceded her in death.
Memorials may be made to Ray County Hospice.
A memorial visitation will be held Friday Aug. 31, 2007 from 6 to 8 p.m., at Polley Funeral Home. Burial will take place at a later date at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Starfield.
Arrangements are under the direction of Polly Funeral Home.
