Roy Krause, 86, of Concordia, passed away Monday, July 30, 2007 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City.
Roy was born May 17, 1921 in rural Sweet Springs, the son of Leo and Flora Weber Krause. He married Rose C. Petering on June 29, 1947 at her parent’s home near Concordia.
Survivors include: his wife, Rose, of the home; two children, Ronald L. Krause and wife, Nancy, Leawood, Kans.; and Mary L. Hughes and husband, David, Higginsville; 6 grandsons, and 2 great-grandchildren; a brother, Earl Krause, Hays, Kans.; and a sister, Edith Krause, Lexington.
His parents, a son, Dennis Wayne Krause, five brothers: Raymond, Wilbert, Edgar, Lester, and Ralph, and two sisters, Irene Wodrich and Ethel Krause, preceded him in death.
Memorials may be made to the Concordia Ambulance District or St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
Visitation from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, 2007 at the church. Burial is at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville.
