Jack L. Clark, 80, of Orrick, died Sunday, July 29, 2007 at Shirkey’s Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond.
Jack was born Sept. 14, 1926 in Kansas City, Mo. His parents were Roscoe Luke and Helen Louise (Patterson) Clark. He married Marion Elizabeth Williams of Orrick on May 14, 1949.
Jack managed the Riffe Hardware Store for 36 years before retiring in 1986. He was a 1945 graduate of Liberty High School and attended William Jewell College. He had lived in Liberty before moving to Orrick in 1949. He was a member of the Orrick Christian Church, Richmond Shrine Club, Ararat Temple, Orrick American Legion Post, NRA and a 50+ member of the Orrick Ada Lodge #444. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include: his wife, Marion; two sons and two daughters-in-law, Scott and Cheri Clark of Orrick, and Randy and Vicki Clark of San Jose, Calif.; one daughter and son-in-law, Paula and David Owen of Dhahran, Saudi Arabia; ten grandchildren, Cari and Brandon Wegge, Christopher and Jennifer Clark, Barron and Kristy Clark, Lexie Clark, David Owen, Steven Owen and Hollyn Owen; and one great-granddaughter, Annabelle Clark.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Orrick Christian Church, South Point Cemetery Association or to the Shriner’s Hospitals for Children.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 31, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home, in Richmond. Masonic Services will be held at 6:30 p.m., prior to the visitation at the funeral home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Aug. 1, at 10 a.m. at the Orrick Christian Church in Orrick. Burial will be at South Point Cemetery in Orrick, where military graveside Services will be conducted.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond.
