Marjorie G. Kincaid, 82, of Richmond, died at 10:28 p.m. on Saturday, July 28, 2007, at her home in Richmond.
Mrs. Kincaid was born on February 18, 1925, near Knoxville, to Ira George and Effie Ina (McCubbins) Hendrix. She married Roy C. Kincaid of Ray County, on October 18, 1947.
Mrs. Kincaid was a homemaker. She was a member of the St. Paul’s Christian Union Church, east of Knoxville. She had lived in the Knoxville area before moving to Richmond in 1991.
Survivors include: two sons and one daughter-in-law, Larry Kincaid of Richmond; and Jimmy and Wanda Kincaid of Richmond; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Lana and Jimmie Misenhelter of Richmond; and Patty and Tom Dolphin of Richmond; one brother and sister-in-law, Wendell and Shirley Hendrix of Richmond; three sisters, Mary Wells of Richmond; Colene Kincaid of Knoxville; and Betty Davis of Richmond; nine grandchildren, Corey and Traci Kincaid, Lindsay and Walt Powell, Kristin Kincaid, Jason Misenhelter , Jeff and Takeena Misenhelter, and T.C. Dolphin; five great-grandchildren, Olivia and Jackson Kincaid, Ryan Beckman, Myleigh Misenhelter, and Dylan Walker; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Her husband, Roy, preceded her in death on November 30, 1998. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Hendrix; and one sister, Mildred Dial.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made either to St. Paul’s Christian Union Church or to the Richmond V.F.W. Post #4398 in Richmond.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 31, 2007 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Burial will be in Richmond Memory Gardens Cemetery in Richmond.
