Curtis Joe Silkwood, 53, of Richmond, died Tuesday, July 24, 2007, at his home.
Curtis was born August 29, 1953 in Braymer, to Allen W. and Iva Christeen (McElwee) Silkwood. He married Linda Prewitt of Braymer, on July 15, 1972.
Curtis was an electronic technician for Sony. He lived in Kansas City, Mo. before moving to Richmond in 1991.
Survivors include two sons, Randy Silkwood of Henrietta and Jeremy Silkwood of Excelsior Springs; one daughter, Kim Silkwood of Shawnee, Kan.; four brothers, Dan Lockwood, Eddie Lockamy, and Anthony Lockamy all of Excelsior Springs, and George Lockamy of Sacramento, Calif; two sisters, Nancy McEntire of Kearney and Moya King of Excelsior Springs; and two grandsons.
His parents preceded him in death.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Hickory Grove Baptist Church or the Family’s Choice.
There will be a private family memorial service. Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond is in charge of the arrangements.
