Charles Williams, 63, Excelsior Springs, passed away Friday, July 20, 2007 at his home.
Charles was born on Dec. 11, 1943 in Mosby, the son of Vern and Jennie Nadine (Lynch) Williams. On Dec. 11, 1964 in Excelsior Springs, he married Gene Sickles. Before his retirement in 1985 Charles had worked for Montgomery Wards. He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include: his wife, Gene Williams of the home; daughter and son-in-law, April Gray and her husband, David of Excelsior Springs; two brothers, Kenny Williams of Excelsior Springs, and Billy Williams of Lexington; two grandchildren; and several nieces; nephews and cousins.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
Rosary was held at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the Polley Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs, with visitation following until 8 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday, July 23, 2007 at the St. Ann Catholic Church, Excelsior Springs.
Burial will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery North of Hardin.
Services are under the direction of Polley Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs.
