Bernadette R. Earles, 60, Excelsior Springs, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2007, at North Kansas City Hospital.
Bernie was born on Oct. 11, 1945 in Boonville, the daughter of Barney John and Isabelle (Eckerle) Wessing.
She was united in marriage to Donald “Clifford” Earles on July 15, 1966 in Pilot Grove. She had worked for the Excelsior Springs Daily Standard for over 25 years and then at the water bar at the Hall of Waters. Bernie was a member of the St. Ann Catholic Church. She loved her grandchildren and loved spending time with them and loved spending time with her best friend, Agnes Knutter.
Survivors include: her husband, Donald “Clifford” Earles, of the home; two daughters Theresa Vollrath and her husband, Jarrett, of Lee’s Summit, and Roxann Earles of Vandalia; one son, Donald Earles, of Excelsior Springs; three brothers, Charles and Earl Wessing, both of Pilot Grove, and Gerry Wessing of Cary, N.C.; two sisters, Pat Davis and Peggy Weber, both of Boonville, and two grandchildren, Isabella and Rylee Vollrath.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the church.
Rosary was on Sunday July 15, 2007, with visitation following at the Polley Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs. Mass of Christian Burial was held on at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 16, 2007, at the St. Ann Catholic Church in Excelsior Springs.
